I Tried Wordpress But….

A few days ago I tried Wordpress because everyone was so mad about it and I have to say it was awesome but you get into trouble setting up Wordpress and linking your domain  name with your webhost which can take up to 72 hours to propagate through the web (you can find how to setup Wordpress here.)However when you got this all setup the main problem is that with Wordpress is that you don't get some sort of instant traffic while your blog is new like you do on Blogger but the positive points of Wordpress are:

Customization:

The cool thing about Wordpress is its customization options. You don't have through the html coding through your blog to add meta tags or add a favicon or anything to do with the coding of your blog.

  • Plugins
  • Plug-ins are tools that you install through FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to customize your blog so for example themes. The bad point about this is that Wordpress doesn’t support custom html codes so instead it uses plug-ins.

  • FTP
  • FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol (as stated above) which is used for transferring files to your blog for ex.plugins,themes.A FTP program such as FileZilla identifies the content inside your blog using a FTP server which is given by your web host.

  • Web-Hosting
  • A web-host is a service that runs your blog on their server. They will provide all the tools and features you need to setup and Wordpress. The reason why you should do this is because if you don't self-host your blog, your blog may go down.

In Conclusion

The reason why I switched back to Blogger is because its ease of use without paying anything although Wordpress has the upper-hand at customizing your blog but the reason why I really like Blogger then any other blogging platform is because your blog gets some sort of traffic.

But Wait There’s More!
